Average stock level calculation start (INVD5191)

This routine executes the average stock level calculation. The average stock level is calculated for each item/warehouse combination in the system, and the result is stored in the Inventory management item file. The calculation is based on today’s physical stock and all inventory transactions dating back to the last average stock calculation.

You can execute this job as often as you want. It is recommended that you execute it once every forecast period. The date of the last average stock calculation is displayed in the IC control file. The average stock level and the date of the last average stock level execution for each item/warehouse combination is located on the Inventory management item file report.

Note: The inventory transactions in DC1 Distribution should not be summarised and deleted until you have executed this job for the corresponding time period.
