Inventory control item level (INVD98301)

This panel displays all procurement data in one place with the possibility to access, and in some cases update, the different data via the function keys.

Function keys

Price Access the Item file maintenance, Purchase price per period, Current panel.
Forecast Access Work with forecasts.
Recalc Recalculate a new suggested quantity to purchase based on if you have changed the setup and latest order status, etc., and re-display the same panel.
Delete Delete the purchase suggestion line.
Supplier Access the Item file maintenance, Supplier information panel.
Cross ref Access the Item cross reference enquiry.
Inventory control Access the Item file maintenance, Inventory management panel.
Purchase simulation Access the Purchase suggestion simulation panel.
EOQ simulation Access the EOQ calculation simulation panel where you can calculate EOQ for an item/warehouse combination under simulated conditions.
ROP/SST simulation Access the ROP/SST calculation simulation panel where you can calculate reorder point (ROP) and safety stock level (SST) for an item/warehouse combination under simulated conditions.
Excess stock enquiry Access the Item excess stock enquiry where you can view the stock/excess quantity situation for the warehouse in which the item is stored. You can toggle between viewing all warehouses or only those that have excess stock.
Agreement Access the Supplier agreement enquiry.

Item
Displays the item code and description.
Supplier
Displays the supplier.
Amount
Displays the purchase suggestion amount.
Whs
Displays the warehouse on the purchase suggestion line.
Item class
Displays the item class.
Unit
Displays the stock unit for the item.
Dispatch date
Displays the dispatch date if the purchase suggestion line is copied to an order today.
Review flag
Denotes the Review code Y/N from the purchase suggestion line.
Planner
Displays the planner.
Mov/Vol
Displays the Movability and Volume value codes.
Currency
Displays the currency.
Arrival date
Displays the arrival date if the purchase suggestion line is copied to an order today.
Excess stock
If the Review code on the purchase suggestion line indicates excess stock, then this box will be filled.
Item info
Displays the first line of the extended item description.

Inventory control results

The Units column displays the suggestion results in stock unit and the Days column is the same value converted to how many days such a quantity would last in stock considering future sales forecast. The Days column explains how many days of consumption the quantity next to it translates to. If you buy 400 and your forecast is to sell 10 each day, the Day column will tell you that those 400 will last 400/10=40 days.

The calculation is:

Forecasted daily consumption = Year forecast/252

Sug
Displays the suggested quantity on the purchase suggestion line per stock unit and day.

It is calculated as:

Days column = Quantity in left column/Forecasted daily consumption.

Rta
Displays the Replenishment Time Available on the purchase suggestion line per stock unit and day.

It is calculated as:

Days column = Quantity in left column/Forecasted daily consumption.

Max
Displays the Maximum level, which is the expected stock level when the suggested quantity arrives (calculated as SST + Suggested quantity) per stock unit and day.

It is calculated as:

Days column = Quantity in left column/Forecasted daily consumption.

EOQ
Displays the Economic Order Quantity per stock unit and day.

It is calculated as:

Days column = Quantity in left column/Forecasted daily consumption.

ROP
Displays the Reorder point per stock unit and day.

It is calculated as:

Days column = Quantity in left column/Forecasted daily consumption.

SST
Displays the safety stock per stock unit and day.

It is calculated as:

Days column = Quantity in left column/Forecasted daily consumption.

Warehouse Balance

Displays the Warehouse balance for the following:

On hand
Displays the physical stock on hand.
SO rt
Displays the reserved sales order quantity in stock unit (within replenishment time), excluding returns.
PO rt
Displays the on order purchase order quantity in stock unit (within replenishment time), excluding returns.
SO oth
Displays the reserved sales order quantity in stock unit (outside of replenishment time), excluding returns.
PO oth
Displays the reserved purchase order quantity in stock unit (outside of replenishment time), excluding returns.
Cus ret
Displays the sales order return quantity in stock unit.
Sup ret
Displays the purchase order return quantity in stock unit.
NCC/UNA
Displays the total of usable and unusable non conforming stock on hand.

Demand

The first set of rows are the period, starting with the current period, and then periods 1 – 12. The second set of rows denote the total demand for each period.

Prices

The following fields display the price related information.

Price
Displays the purchase price.
Agreement
Displays the agreement number if the price was retrieved from a supplier agreement.

Units and Discount

The following fields display the limits and discounts for any rebates.

RB1
Displays the limit and discount for the first rebate.
RB2
Displays the limit and discount for the second rebate.
RB3
Displays the limit and discount for the third rebate.

Basic data

Pack size
Displays the pack size from the purchase suggestion line.
Planning time
Displays the planning time from the purchase suggestion line.
Creation date
Displays the creation date when the item was created.
Handling stat
Displays the handling status for the item.
Service level
Displays the service level for the safety stock calculation if the Service based is used.

Forecast

Per for
Displays the period forecast for the current period. If a manually entered forecast exists, an M (which is panel value controlled) will be displayed.
Lp Mad
Displays the Last period MAD, from the period before the current period.
Lp Mad %
Displays the Last period MAD %, calculated as:

(MAD previous period/Base forecast FFBFOR previous period)*100

LP mvt
Displays the Last period movements, from the period before the current period.
Trend
This field denotes if the results from a Trend analysis should be used to forecast demand for the item/warehouse combination.
Season
Displays the season profile.

Basic Data

Substitution
Displays the number of cross reference items with type SU (substitution).
Replacement
Displays the number of cross reference items with type RE (replacement).
Generic
Displays the number of cross reference items with type GE (generic).
