From this panel you can create capacity for new work centres or re-create capacity for existing work centres. If the calendar capacity has been changed you can also create workload and reschedule manufacturing orders.
Create work centre capacity
Using this batch job you create capacity for all work centres for a selected period of time. The calendar used for each work centre is defined in the Work centre table. Note: You can also create capacity for a single work centre using the Re-create capacity function key on the Work centre capacity maintenance panel.
Recreate workload
The workload should be recreated if the parameters influencing the capacity (e.g., number of machines, resources per job, etc.) have been changed. Note: Workload is only created for work centres for which the Workload planning field is set to YES on the Work centre maintenance panel.
Reschedule manufacturing orders
The rescheduling of manufacturing orders can be of interest when changes have been made on the work centre field that handles capacity or if changes have been made to the calendar that is connected to the work centre. The rescheduled manuafcturing orders will get a new completion date based on the current capacity situation. The old and new planning dates will be printed on a reschedule report.
Note: If the DC1 Manufacturing Finite Planning (MFP) functionality is activated in Work with companies and critical resources are used, it is not recommended to use this function for rescheduling of manufacturing orders. Instead, you should use the function that is available in the Re-schedule manufacturing orders, Critical resources (Work centre) batch job.
- Create no of month
- The number of months to be valid in the calendar capacity. The current month is the first month to be created.
- Recreate workload
- Indicates if workload for open manufacturing orders should be recreated. If the capacity has been changed workload will be created based on the new capacity. Planned dates on operations and order header, however, will only be updated for those orders that have been selected according to the selection value for Reschedule manuf ord.
- Recreate MRP workl
- Indicates if planned workload for MRP order proposals should be recreated. Only the proposals in the active version will be used for recreation.
- Reschedule manuf ord
- The code indicates if, and how, manufacturing orders should be rescheduled. If reschedule is selected, the manufacturing orders will be rescheduled either forward or backward. This is determined by how the order was created or the way the order was last rescheduled.
Code Description 1 No manufacturing orders will be rescheduled. Capacity changes will not affect the planned dates on the manufacturing operations and order header. 2 All manufacturing orders with a status less than 60 will be rescheduled. 3 Only manufacturing orders with status 00, 05 or 10 will be rescheduled.
Note: Use the selection fields below to narrow down the number of manufacturing orders to be rescheduled.
Selection
- Planner
- Warehouse
- Order type
- Item
Note: The selection can only be used in combination with rescheduling of manufacturing orders.
- Force forward sched
- Mandatory entry if Reschedule manuf ord is set to 2 (All open orders) or 3 (Only not started orders). Indicates if forward rescheduling should be forced for all selected open manufacturing orders even if backward rescheduling was originally planned.
- If this field is set to YES, the manufacturing orders will be rescheduled based on the planned start date.
- If set to NO, the rescheduling of the manufacturing orders will be handled in the same way as at the order creation. For example, if an order was scheduled backwards at creation, the same type of rescheduling will be applied here.
Note: When the rescheduling is completed, you can run the Re-plan sales orders function in DC1 Distribution to perform an availability check on purchased components and sub-assembly items. New availability dates will be calculated for the items, and this will result in new completion and dispatch dates for the manufacturing and sales orders.
