- Supplier warranty
- This field is for informational purposes only. Indicate if the validity of the supplier warranty should be checked to decide who should be responsible for the repair costs, if any. If this field is YES, then the validity of the warranty will be calculated based on the reception date.
For example:
When you buy an item from your supplier, the supplier issues a warranty for 1 year to your company. When you sell the item to your customer, you also sell an additional warranty for 1 extra year. If the customer claims for a warranty within 1 year, then this is a supplier warranty. If the customer claims for a warranty after 1 year and within 2 years, then the warranty is not a supplier warranty. Note: The Warranty field in the Debit code table controls if a warranty claim is to be created for the supplier.
