(Post system currency conversion) Tasks to be completed in various DC1 applications

Prerequisites
The following tasks must be performed after the system currency conversion has been completed in the DC1 applications listed below that are activated.

DC1 General

  1. The Exchange rate table must be updated manually with the latest correct relationships.

DC1 Financials

Reconciliation

  1. A reconciliation must be performed between the G/L and the A/R, and the G/L and the A/P, on account level. All discrepancies, due to rounding differences must be posted manually to the G/L. See Manually eliminate rounding differences after the system currency conversion for further information.

Routine updates

  1. All standing orders in system currency must be manually reviewed in the Standing orders maintenance routine.
  2. The attest limit per attestor must be changed manually in Work with signatures.
  3. All pricing rules must be updated manually in Work with pricing rules.
  4. The VAT rounding rules must be updated manually in the Work with currencies.
  5. The user-defined numeric fields in the Business partner file must be reviewed and changed manually, if applicable.
  6. The Amount limit low and Amount limit high fields must be updated manually in Work with A/R payment modes.
  7. The Create dynamic base percentages routine (for the dynamic calculation/redistribution file) must be run after the conversion.
  8. G/L postings for matched preliminary invoices – SROPIG.
    Note: This file holds G/L postings for matched preliminary invoices. Before conversion this file is balanced within each voucher. After conversion this might not be the case anymore. A small debit/credit difference might occur which must be booked manually when the invoice is made final in R7SCT for this.

Template updates

Files for templates will not be converted. The following templates must be manually checked and changed after conversion:

Budget values

The budget total will always be recalculated from the period values even if a budget curve was used to split a given total amount into periods. The budget totals will change according to roundings on period values. Because of this it is recommended to review the budget values and adjust any roundings that has occurred.

DC1 Asset Management

Reconciliation

  1. Print the Asset balance list per depreciation type in order to find out which fully depreciated assets that have received a residual value after the conversion.
  2. Sign on to the system as a user with System Administrator authority.
  3. Select the Work with accumulated depreciations menu item and adjust the Depreciation YTD field in order to get zero in the Residual value field.
  4. If applicable, post the difference manually to the G/L. See Manually eliminate rounding differences after the system currency conversion for further instructions on how to post the variances.

Routine updates

  1. The following fields must be updated manually in Work with insurance policies:
    Insurance value
    Insurance premium/year
    Insurance excess
  2. The following field must be updated manually in Work with service contracts:
    Service cost/year
  3. The following fields must be updated manually in Work with depreciation types:
    Minimum depreciation
    Minimum residual value
    Rounding-off/year
    Rounding-off/period

DC1 Distribution

Reconciliation

  1. A reconciliation must be performed between the G/L and the Stock value in Distribution. All discrepancies, due to rounding differences, must be posted manually to the G/L. See Manually eliminate rounding differences after the system currency conversion for further instructions on how to post the variances.
  2. A manual conversion must be performed for the following fields in the SROACL file (Application control file):
    ACOCST
    (Order cost)
    ACSOCH
    (Sales order cost)
    ACSOCL
    (Sales order line cost)
    ACQCOS
    (Quotation line cost)
  3. Run the Rebuild open orders time axis file routine after the system currency conversion.
