There may be times when you need to create a departure within a route for a specific, or one off, delivery.
Tip: These instructions detail how to create a departure from scratch. If you know of a departure that is similar to the one that you want to create, then it may be simpler to copy it and tailor the copy to meet your specifications.
- Select the Work with route list menu item.
- On the main panel, click Add.
- You access the detail panel. Information must be entered in the following fields:
- Dispatch date
- Warehouse
- Route
- Departure
- Handler
- Manner of transport
- Cut-off date
- Enter the cut-off date. All sales orders placed after this date will be bumped up to a later shipment.
- Hold
- Indicate if you want to hold the departure of the route.
- Dispatch time
- Cut-off time
- Description
- Shipment type
- Vehicle
- Driver
- Shipping agent
- Loading location
- Weight
- Volume
- Value
- You automatically access the Destinations panel. If you want to add a destination to your departure, then follow the instructions in Add a destination to a scheduled departure (step 3). Otherwise, exit the routine.
Tip: For detailed information on these fields, see the Panel help.
Note: Manual is defaulted to YES indicating that the departure was manually created.
The following fields are optional, but can be maintained later, if applicable:
