The following describes how to enter default values for run priorities and run sequences and how to add these to a production technology code that can be connected to an operation. (Click to expand each section). These settings are later used automatically in Manufacturing order detail planning.
Note: You can override the default values by changing the priority or sequence in Manufacturing order detail planning.
Enter default values
Do as follows to enter default values for run priorities and run sequences:
- Select the Production technology codes menu item.
- You access Work with production technology. You can do the following:
- Add a new production technology code to the list by clicking Add.
- Define default run priorities and sequences for an existing production technology code.
- You access Production technology maintenance. Complete the following field:
- Default run priority
- Enter the run priority default value that will be used on manufacturing order operation at creation time.
- Default run sequence
- Enter the run sequence default value that will be used on manufacturing order operation at creation time.
- You return to Work with production technology where the new default values are displayed. Exit the routine.
For this task, select a production technology code and click Change to define default run priorities and sequences.
Click OK.
Connect to operation
Do as follows to add the production technology code to a manufacturing order operation in order for the default values to appear:
- Select the Work with structures menu item.
- On the initial panel, select the item for which you want to define default run priorities and sequences and click Change oper.
- You access Structure maintenance, Bill of routing, op times in minutes (decimals). Select the operation for which you want to define default run priorities and sequences and click Change.
- On the Structure maintenance, Bill of routing, op times in minutes (decimals) detail panel, complete the following field:
- Prod technology
- Enter a production technology code to be connected to the operation.
Click OK. Exit the routine.
