Working with day balance calculation rules

Related topics

Calculation rules are used in the time calculation process to perform additional calculations on day balances.

Flowchart

Each calculation rule can contain one or several calculation steps. Several steps can be used if you need to set up different calculation conditions, or for complex calculations that must be performed in steps. The sequence number indicates the order in which the steps should be performed.

The calculation parameters that are entered for each step define the wage types that should be affected by the calculation and the calculation formula. See Time calculation rule setup example for a description of how the parameters can be set up.

The calculation rules are attached to day schemes. Each day scheme can be connected to several rules that are sequenced within the day scheme.

Time calculation
In the time calculation process, day balances are first created based on the day scheme and reported time. The system then reads the calculation rules that are attached to the day scheme and compares them with the created day balances. If the defined conditions are met, the balances will be modified or new balances will be created. See About calculating time for more information.
